I am a counsellor based in Berkhamsted, working with adults and young people (13+) of all genders and social backgrounds.
I specialise in supporting people who are going through or have been through difficult times. Having gone through several difficult experiences myself, I can understand how hard it can be to make sense of life again. You may feel sad, scared, angry or perhaps it’s hard to feel anything at all, leaving you not knowing who you are anymore.
I believe that I can help you work through many of the experiences you have been through, and help you to find your way back to you - to find joy and meaning in life again.
I understand that the idea of therapy can sometimes feel daunting, but it can also facilitate wonderful growth and change. I use a range of therapeutic approaches in an adaptive manner to best suit your needs and preferences. This means our work together will centre around you as an individual, with your unique experiences and way of looking at the world.
Our sessions are designed to help you to find your inner resources, make positive changes to enrich your life and discover new ways of living.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and abide by their Professional and Ethical standards. I have gained valuable experience as a result of volunteering and working as a counsellor in a number of settings: Trust House Sexual Abuse Support Centre and Mindspace Foundation. This experience has helped me to support a diverse range of people with a variety of difficulties such as depression, anxiety, sexual assault and violence, gender identity, sexuality and bereavement.

I offer therapy sessions face to face, online and over the phone, with 1 hour sessions available on a weekly basis.
I work in both a short term and open ended capacity, depending on what might feel best for you. This can change over the course of our time together as you move through the therapeutic process.
